Secondment Letter

This letter is similar to the format of a secondment agreement, but may be considered a less formal way of clarifying the terms upon which a secondment will take place.

  • It provides both companies concerned with an understanding of the terms on which the secondment will proceed, ensuring both practical as well as legal certainties.
  • This letter has been written so it can be self drafted by the purchaser; it is simple enough to amend and easy to understand.

This letter format is less formal and therefore will not be as comprehensive as the agreement, it can be self-drafted and will cover the following:

  • Secondment start and finish date
  • Duties
  • Hours and other arrangements
  • Who will pay the salary
  • Obligations while seconded
  • Expenses
  • Confidentiality
